Consulting Sessions
With Susan Adcock
A first time consultation requires one and a half to two hours. This consultation will include a thorough client health history, lifestyle analysis, a muscle test which covers all body systems, a detailed nutritional program designed to fit your current needs, a suggested program of exercise and a discussion of the natural healing supplements available to support your program.
I offer these herbal products to my clients at reduced prices. I am also a Juice Plus Distributor. You are under no obligation to use or purchase any of these products.
I will ask all clients to include a copy of their latest blood lab results and any other necessary medical paperwork where there has been a medical diagnosis along with a list of any prescription medications they may be taking.
I'm also available for "long distance" phone consultations for those who live in other parts of the country. I'm proud to say many of my clients live out of the state of California. Each and every one of my clients receive equal attention, no matter where they might live.
I teach classes on health related topics and am available to lecture on Natural Healing, upon request.
Elements of The Process:
The Natural Health coaching process contains the following elements:
Herbology: Throughout the course of human history plants have been used as natural remedies for a host of maladies. Herbs not only appear to have definite healing properties, they can strengthen the body’s natural immune systems, nourish the deep inner ecology of all bodily systems at a cellular level and offer support to the body when it is undergoing more radical forms of medical treatment.
Muscle Testing: Based on the concept of internal energy fundamental to traditional Chinese medicine, muscle testing is a noninvasive way of evaluating the body’s imbalances and assessing its needs. It involves testing the body’s responses when applying slight pressure to a large muscle, to provide information on energy blockages, the functioning of the organs, nutritional deficiencies, and food sensitivities, among other things. It can also be used to test the body’s responses to herbs and other remedies.
Exercise: Physical inactivity is a serious health hazard. Exercise maximizes cardiovascular, respiratory, neuroendocrine, musculo-skeletal, metabolic, immuniological, neurological and sexual benefits. By adopting exercises that are safe, efficient and enjoyable, you can increase your activity in these areas by 20% or more, slow the aging process, reduce depression, stimulate digestion and increase absorption of nutrients, lower the incidence of cancer, reduce the risk of adult-onset diabetes, prevent joint stiffness, arthritis and lower back pain.
Nutrition: The ratio of fat to a lean body is critical in initiating and maintaining good health. Sugar and fat deplete nutrients in the body and give rise to sugar cravings, lethargy, weakness, irritability, and headaches. By insuring your diet is rich in nutrients (e.g., protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and essential fatty acids), eating plenty of nuts, seeds, whole grain foods, raw "living" foods and eliminating or reducing you intake of caffeine, white flour, animal fats and dairy products, your body is primed to achieve it's proper fat to lean ratio. This discussion will also include a detailed Nutritional Program Guide specific to your needs.
Integration Of Mind, Body & Spirit: Properly managed, body, mind and spirit are partners in an inter-developmental process leading to total well-being. All living things respond positively to what is life supporting and negatively to what is not. The immune system can operate as cause (physical) or effect (mental). What you believe is directly connected to how you will heal. Natural healing incorporates a dynamic balance between physical, mental and spiritual forces in which health and wholeness become synonymous.
